Fact sheet

Founded in 1942, NCCBI is a nonprofit, nonpartisan membership organization registered as a 501-c(6) corporation. Membership dues may be deductible as an ordinary business expense, less whatever percentage of dues the association reports to the IRS as lobbying expenditures. Dues generally are structured on an ability to pay basis, ranging from $400 for small businesses and individuals to $31,609 for the largest businesses. NCCBI has a staff of 14 who work from offices in downtown Raleigh near the state Capitol and General Assembly. The mailing address is:
